Pragya Chaya Rooftop Restaurant – Open-Air Dining Interior

The project involved the interior design and ambience development of a 2,100 sq.ft. rooftop restaurant for Pragya Chaya in Bijaynagar, Ajmer. The design was planned as an open-air dining environment that uses the rooftop setting, open views, natural ventilation, and a relaxed hospitality atmosphere. A timber-look overhead pergola forms the main ceiling feature. The ceiling combines closely spaced linear slats with a deeper framed zone, creating visual rhythm and giving the open terrace a defined dining identity. Recessed ceiling lights are integrated into the overhead structure, while clusters of hanging pendant bulbs add a decorative layer and provide a warm evening ambience. The seating layout includes compact dining tables, upholstered chairs, lounge-style chairs, and relaxed terrace seating. Seating is distributed across the open floor area to maintain comfortable movement between tables and preserve the outward-facing rooftop experience. A horizontal perimeter railing provides edge definition and keeps the terrace visually open. Planters and green landscape strips are introduced along the edges and between seating zones. Warm timber tones, natural green flooring, soft pendant lighting, and muted furniture colours create a casual contemporary restaurant atmosphere. The design focuses on rooftop dining comfort, visual warmth, table arrangement, lighting mood, and an inviting open-air customer experience.
